Legal overview

Australian Consumer Law & Your Rights

Our services are supplied in Australia and are subject to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). ACL guarantees cannot be excluded where they apply. If a consumer guarantee applies, you are entitled to a remedy for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, including repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

For major failures, you may be entitled to cancel the contract and obtain a refund. This section does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under the ACL.

Warranties, Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Except as required by law (including ACL), all warranties, representations and conditions are excluded. tryrobo does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the greater of:

  • the fees paid by you to tryrobo in the 12 months preceding the claim; or
  • AUD 1,000.

We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business or data.

Intellectual property

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the services, software, documentation and content provided by tryrobo are owned by or licensed to tryrobo. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the services for your internal business purposes only.

Nothing on this site grants you any right, title or interest in tryrobo trademarks, logos or other branding elements.

Privacy & Data Handling

We process personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we retain it and how you can exercise your rights.

Where we transfer data overseas (for example to cloud providers), we implement reasonable safeguards and contractual measures to protect personal information.

Data retention

We retain records as required by law and for legitimate business purposes. If you request deletion, we will comply unless retention is required by law.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.

If you are a consumer and remain unsatisfied, you may seek assistance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or your local state consumer protection agency.
